Summer Vacation: day 11

Nice peaceful Saturday... Boys helped Harris in the garden. Our first squash is starting to come in. The boys then headed off for spend the night while we had dear friends come for dinner.
Stress free day!
Yesterday, Day 10, we made our first weekly trip to Barnes and Noble. Note to Mommy: three year olds have a very difficult time in the quiet bookstore. New goal, my three year old will be a trained pro to visiting bookstores by the end of the summer! One determined Mommy!

Summer Vacation: day 8

Breakfast of champions

Summer Vacation: day 8

I had planned to try and post a blog for each day. Guess that is out the window. Past couple of days have been a bit busy. Day 6, we celebrated Annie's first birthday with family. Day 7, we recovered from her party as well as took care of Harris , home with a bug. We did finally start our summer work. Each morning Tucker has a little assignment to keep his skills sharp. Thomas also has a little lesson to help with learning his letters. We had some fun in the hose washing Mommy's car and had a bird funeral (a well as a lesson on maggots) for a bird we found on our deck.  Day 8, well we are probably going to try to do some cleaning out. Tucker can be a bit of a hoarder- trying to break that!

Summer Vacation: day 3

OWell, day two was a bit chaotic so will try and make up with pic from day 3. You will see Thomas spends his day truly loving summer- he has felt 100% better today since we learned he had strep (and not the tummy bug) and has had medicine. He spent time today outside like normal! Got rid of his shirt even! Tucker prepared for camp today! He has been waiting all week for Camp McDowell! And Annie practiced her walking and talking on the phone. We even found time to get the sweet potatoes ready for Harris to plant a well as canned some quick semi organic grape jelly!! Let the canning season begin! Strawberry jelly next! Our supply for the year!

Summer Vacation: day 1

Well we have officially started our summer vacation. I will admit I have in some ways been dreading the unstructured days of brothers bickering. But then decided that I was going to approach this as a challenge and positive experience. We have goals for the summer. Tucker will be working on responsibility as Thomas works on being a team player and being a friendly 3. And annie, well she is working on walking.
Going to try and have a focus for each week to try and keep life a little less crazy. We shall see. Day one started off a bit rocky with Thomas having a bit of a tummy bug. So, we had pj day! Enjoyed a lazy day of tv, deck racing and play dough building. Day one down, 77(?) more to go! Positive thinking! These three are blessings we couldn't do without. So, this is going to be a summer of enjoying life with three little ones!
