Potty Break through!! Just an update to an earlier posting- Tucker has finally tinkled in the big boy potty. So now that he has actually done something and knows what it is, we will be continuing to work on using the potty. Happy 2nd Birthday, Tucker!

Our sweet boy is 2!!! Wow, it truly feels funny saying that! For so long, his age has been in months and now we are into years. Definitely not ready for our baby to be a big boy! Tucker will tell you he is Daddy's big fella and Mommy's sweet pea. He is definitely our little firecracker though! We shared Tucker's birthday (July 4th) with family and godparents. As crazy as it is and as full as our house gets, we love having everyone here to celebrate the birth of our baby boy! Tucker was so excited. He actually started to realize all that was going on for his party. All week he could tell you his cake would have "red, blue, and stars!" He was excited to get balloons for the mailbox and have all his family around him! Tucker actually enjoyed having everyone sing "Happy Birthday" as he normally will stop you from singing by saying "nooo, sorry, sorry!" Tucker played all day with his new slide and basketball goal. We decided these were things he could use in the back yard as well as in the garage in the winter. He ended his party with a viewing of Redmountain Fireworks! We were sure he would fall asleep on the way and miss them but thankfully he was able to stay up and watch with excitement. He still occasionally says "Tucker watched fireworks." Thank you to all for the many birthday wishes as well as all the love and support it takes to raise such a wonderful little boy!

Playgroup Birthday

Tucker started off his birthday celebration by sharing with his playgroup. We painted footprint flags, played, and enjoyed lunch and cupcakes! Tucker was very excited that his cousins and Aunt Beverly from New Zealand were here to help celebrate as well!

Potty Training.. Here we go!

No- we haven't technically started potty training. But we are in the beginning stages. Tucker is very interested in sitting on the potty (especially on his special Elmo seat on the toliet). He has many signs of being ready to potty train. Yet we are lacking a few important ones. No rush! We are just easing into doing more sitting! The more he sits the more he is aware! :) Just thought we would share one of our favorites!
