Baby Rock!

Finally! After months of trying to visit, we finally were able to visit with Angelique (Katie's dear friend and college roomate)Daniel, and baby Caleb Rock. We have been trying to visit them in Atlanta. But everytime, someone in our family was sick. We finally were able to visit with them in Dadeville, at Angelique's parent's home. What a beautiful place on Lake Martin! It is so nice to have our Miami friends further north! Here are a few pictures from our visit!

18 Months

Helping Mommy with dishes
Reading on Mommy and Daddy's bed

Testing out a tomato for breakfast!

I love pictures! Giving kisses to pictures!

I call out for pictures all the time! I love to look for people!

I already know what this crazy remote is for! TV!

More dishes! I love to help!

My new thing is swimming in the tub! Even without water and all my clothes on!

Well, we have definitely entered into a new stage with Tucker. This month our little man turned 18 months and we are definitely in the terrible twos. Tucker is Mr. Independent! He loves doing things himself and he wants to help us everything. Tucker likes to stand in a chair and help Mommy with dishes. He likes to help pour his milk and put things in the refridgerator. He wants to cook and pull all the cans out of the pantry. Tucker is great with cleaning too! He loves to help dust or vaccuum. And don't forget that laundry! He helps put clothes in the washer and take out of the dryer. Now folding laundry is another matter! Mommy must do it as quickly as possible before all folded items are all over the den. Tucker is good with folding socks. Actually, Mommy folds and Tucker tosses in the laundry basket like he is playing basketball! He actually is getting pretty good with his aim! He is talking up a storm and starting to say phrases. He likes to say thank you, Sorry (when he has done something), bless you (when you sneeze) and is starting to put two words together sometimes (like go swim or my milk or one sock). Tucker is loving his independent bath time. He loves to "swim" and blowing bubbles in the water. He likes for Daddy to blow bubbles and hates to get out. He loves playing with trucks and playing catch (which is actually rolling balls or trucks to each other). And of course he still loves his books and music!

Tucker had a great check up with Dr. Huie. Mommy and Daddy both went to this one. We used this checkup to recheck his ears from his last (5th) ear infection. We were anticipating having to discuss a slight possiblity of tubes. But, thank goodness, after having his ears tested for fluid, we won't be having to go that route! Tucker is still growing! He weighed in at 28 lbs (?oz) and 35 inches. Almost 3 feet! Wow! Definitely still off the charts! We are glad to know that he is growing well and developing right on track!

Play Time!

Tucker has had several playdates over the holidays with friends we don't get to see regularly. He loves to play with his friends and cousins. After we visit with anyone, Tucker will call out for those friends for the rest of the day or evening. He is getting really good with names. Sometimes he'll just randomly call out for someone he might have seen weeks ago. Yet, he is great with naming friends and family members in pictures!

After filling the fire truck with blocks, Tucker had no other choice than to get in the tent if he wanted to play with the blocks!

Tucker's first friend, Thomas, got a fire truck tent. Tucker was scared to get in so Mommy had to try it out first and then get him in.
